Meet Lindsay
As a successful designer and colour expert, Lindsay Down has spent nearly 20 years helping clients redesign their homes and offices into beautiful spaces balancing form and function with style.
Lindsay spent eight years as design manager for a Benjamin Moore paint dealer where she completed professional colour consultant training and provided hundreds of colour and design consultations for local clients. She also designed and sold custom window coverings for residential and commercial spaces throughout the Kingston area.
Throughout her career, Lindsay has also specialized in kitchen design, space planning and contract furniture. As a designer at Queen's University, she led the re-design of many offices, classrooms, study spaces and common areas. Lindsay is well known for her expertise in revitalizing tired spaces through thoughtful and creative design.
In 2019 she opened up her apparel design studio & boutique, Pure Colour Baby. Lindsay and her team design eco-conscious garments that combine colours and comfort children will love, alongside touches like adjustable lengths and grow-with-me fits for long-lasting, high cost-per-wear results.
As a skilled interior design professional and space planner, I have provided design services for clients in education, healthcare, retail and residential. I have a keen eye for colour, materials, and finishes, and I enjoy collaborating with clients, suppliers, and project managers to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
